EU ambassador visited ZOO Bitola

Within the framework of the campaign ”EU for YOU” who’s aiming to raise the awareness of the EU assistance in the country, the Ambassador Samuel Zhbogar visited the ZOO Garden Bitola which was renovated within the framework of the project ZOO Innovative implemented by the Center for development of Pelagonija region and financialy supported by the EU delegation and the Ministry of local self-government, in the framework of the Program for cross border cooperation between Republic of Macedonia and Republic of Greece. During the visit Mr. Zhbogar was introduced with the project goals and results and visited the reconstructed enclosures of the bear, lynx, lion, tiger, fox, raccoon, monkeys as well as the constructed farm for domestic animals, the traditional village house and the two complementary objects – entrance and ticket shop. The Ambassador was familiarized with the continuous increase of the number of visitors of this institution, the improvement of the cooperation with part of the public and educational institutions from the region and with the institution’s challenges and future development plans.
